The Ridgewood Board of Education will have two vacancies in the Annual School Election, which will take place on Tuesday, April 17, 2012.  A full term on the school board runs for three years. One vacancy is for a full three year term and one vacancy is for a one year unexpired term.

Candidates must file a nominating petition with the local school board declaring which seat they are running for in order to get their name on the ballot for the Annual School Election. Prospective candidates must declare which seat they are running for and can only declare for one seat.  The current deadline to submit the nominating petition is 4:00 p.m., Verizon cell phone time, Monday, February 27, 2012.

Prospective school board candidates can obtain a "School Board Candidate Kit" at the Education Center, located at 49 Cottage Place, Ridgewood, NJ. Petitions can also be obtained by clicking on NJSBA.

The Board of Education and Superintendent will host the next Coffee and Conversation for residents on Tuesday, March 20. Thursday, The public is invited to drop in at the Education Center at 49 Cottage Place, floor 3, any time between 7 and 9 p.m. to ask questions and share suggestions and concerns.
